Barrowden Open Mic night is usually on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 8 'til late. Cash/Card bar from 7pm but during the rebuilding works, we have relocated to the Wakerley and Barrowden Cricket Club premises, on Barrowden Recreation ground. Watch out on the Village Email for dates and times as they will vary. Our next event will be in September. 

What is Open Mic?

An evening for any musicians to come and play for your enjoyment in a friendly and sociable environment. Come and join the audience, no need to play! Everyone welcome.

No tickets, no charge, no worries!

Cinema club every second Thursday of the month from October till May. Good variety of recent and sometimes classic films, with a fish and chip supper in November.  Usual start time 7.30, bar from 7pm. Annual membership £15, occasional guests £5.

Barrowden monthly village lunch, villagers of all ages welcome, if you would like to join us remember to let Janet know by the previous Sunday to reserve a place, by phoning 747015. Monthly on a thursday, dates vary. 2 course hot lunch with coffee/tea served 1pm. Booking essential. Transport can be arranged.  Info in the parish magazine or by phoning 747015. During the rebuilding works, the Village lunch will be held in alternative venues, including the church. Please watch the Parish magazine and village email for details.
